I've got lettuces that will need thinning out very soon. Would it be ok to transplant the thinnings to in between the onions and garlic in one of our raised beds? Not too much competition for the onions?
Otherwise we're running out of suitable space to plant them. There is room over at our neighbour's house, but I think they might be devoured by slugs and pigeons. In our raised beds, they can be protected by nets.
